Uncanny X-Men (Vol 1) #13: Where Walks the Juggernaut

The Juggernaut, having infiltrated the Institute, proceeds to attack Xavier. Using his telepathy, he manages to stun the Juggernaut long enough for the X-Men to get back on their feet. Cyclops then blasts a hole beneath the Juggernaut, causing him to get stuck deep in the ground temporarily.

Xavier is rushed to the lab and with the help of Beast, Iceman and Marvel Girl, assembles an equipment that will magnify his brain waves. Meanwhile, the Juggernaut climbs out of the hole. Cyclops and Angel are barely able to hold him off. Xavier sends Beast and Iceman off to help Cyclops and Angel while he continues to draw mental energy from the city.

Xavier accidentally comes across the Human Torch of the Fantastic Four and tries to ask him for help but believes his efforts might be futile as the Human Torch isn’t too trusting of hearing voices in his head, fearing it might be a trap set by his enemies. But Xavier is determined to convince him to help his X-Men stop the Juggernaut.

The four X-Men are barely able to slow down the Juggernaut. Even the Danger Room is child’s play for the Juggernaut.

Just then, the Human Torch arrives and evens the playing field. Angel is then able to remove the Juggernaut’s helmet, leaving his brain vulnerable to telepathic attacks. The Juggernaut is defeated. Xavier thanks the Human Torch and sends him on his way after wiping his memory of this incident. And the boys are more than pleased with Jean having to play nurse to the four of them.
